Here is my latest finished work, an abstract based on my drawing of the stream at Peso, during the summer. I decided to use oil paint for this, since it was then summer and drying times quicker. But also, I sometimes have a feeling to use a particular medium, and this was the case here.
I hope you enjoy it.

And to remind you of the watercolour preparatory painting which preceeded the abstract. This is available and listed on my watercolour paintings page

Another recent painting, is a watercolour from a sketch I did in the Rua Viador in Monchique. I had no idea I was drawing the gates of the old horta (vegetable garden) of Isabel’s mother (Isabel from the Ochálá café). Her sister-in-law decided to buy it as a surprise Christmas present for her husband, Isabel’s brother, but meanwhile, Isabel’s elderly mother decided to trump them all and bought it herself. It will be bequeathed to Isabel’s brother when the old lady dies 🙂

Thank you for reading, and hope to see you soon,
Liz
