My first painting completed this year is a large version of my drawings of the view from Monchique´s health centre. I´d been working on this painting on and off for a few months, and it was left standing on my easel over Christmas when I was in the UK.
If you recognise this view, maybe you`re a resident of Monchique, and have spent some time waiting outside the health centre there. Or you could have seen my two other versions of this view, a watercolour and a small oil painting.
This painting is a little different to the previous two of this scene; I decided to leave out some buildings near the top left, as well as details to the smaller more distant buildings.
I´m pleased to say that it is now sold, and though a bit sorry to see it leave so soon, it´s rewarding to know that it has been appreciated and snapped up quickly.
