As my first version of this painting was sold I needed to paint another version for the exhibition Artists for Hope at Faro Museum 11 June – 28 August 2022.
As I painted I found it wasn´t possible to copy the first painting exactly, as this painting began to take on its own identity. It is quite similar, though!
All artists exhibiting in the exhibition need to supply two works which are linked in size and subject matter, and below is my Bridge at Peso part II:
Barranco do Pisoes is a popular picnic spot near Monchique in Portugal´s Algarve region. It is providing plenty of good subject matter for my work lately, and I have another from this location as a possible painting coming soon.
