Hello!
This month I’ve been working on two paintings: one of which was for the postponed exhibition with the Algarve Artists Network, Signs and Symbols, which is unfinished, and the other you will see here below…

This is the view from Casais to the coast. I really like the shape of the hills, they are instantly recognisable as belonging to this area. The plant in the foreground is the Asphodel, which according to mythology, it grew on the Elysian fields where the heroes were laid to rest. It is both mythical and rather magical, as was
the sky – hazy, and though the sun was visible, it had a misty ethereal quality.

New exhibition
It’s been quite a while since I exhibited my work in a public space, and I’d got quite used to showing and selling my paintings online. When the General Manager phoned me and invited me to exhibit at the Hotel Penina, Portimão, it was a completely unexpected and lovely surprise! The exhibition will run from 1 – 28 April in the Salão Azul, open 9h – 21h every day. The dates of the exhibition are planned to coincide with the Grand Prix at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve. More info on the Hotel Penina and how to get there can be found on their website: https://www.penina.com
Beautiful ☺
